About us

The Immanuel Christian Ministries Scottsville was formed and established in 19 January 2014 under the leadership of Senior Pastor Kathleen Forbes and her husband Joseph Forbes as founders of the congregation.

Now along with Associate Pastor John Witbooi. The leadership and congregation has since then been reaching for greater heights by the grace of our God.

Our Vision

To establish a branch of church, and bring the word of God, through African Methodism closer and directly to the under privileged community of Scottsville. “If the people cannot come to church, bring the church to the people”.

Our Mission

To reach out to the youth and help them fight the evils of drugs and substance abuse, gangster-ism etc. Also to show and provide an alternative for them, to be proud and useful members of the community they live in.

Growth The church has grown from twenty active formal church members to 150+ members, who participates in the day to day church activities.

With regular visits from non-members, and a growing number of new members currently undergoing confirmation.

The congregation does not have their own facilities to practice their activities and services at present. They are currently making use of the local high school.
